Carla Renee Villa

Carla Renee Villa, 68, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2016, in Mesquite. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ova Bauer. Carla is survived by her husband of 43 years, David Villa; daughter, Laura Hanlon and her husband, Billy; grandson, Shawn Hanlon; numerous cousins; and her faithful dogs that adored her, Miley and Mayley. Carla Villa was born December 7, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, where she grew up and later had a nursing career and met the love of her life, David.Carla absolutely loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed decorating to make anything pretty. Next to the love of her only grandson, Shawn, one of Carla’s biggest joys and passions was her love of the British Royal Family.She started her collection when she was just nine years old and one of her lifelong dreams was to see the Queen which she was able to accomplish eight times.The week that she passed away, she received a letter from the Queen that she was saving to read when she felt a little better and yet she never had that opportunity. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a member of Casa View Baptist Church for 43 years. The visitation will be Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm at New Hope Funeral Home.The Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, November 11, 2016 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Following the service, there will be a graveside service at the Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Texas at approximately 1:15 pm.
