Carl Dwain Jones

Carl Jones was born on February 14th 1939, in Emory, Texas, to parents William Arthur Jones and Opal Jones. He passed away peacefully, at home, in the presence of his wife, Georgia Jones, his children and grandchildren on February 10th, 2019. Carl grew up in Lufkin, Texas but spent most of his years in Dallas, Texas. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958. Carl married his sweetheart, Georgia Jones, on November 9th 1971. They were married 47 years. They had six children, Gary Jones married to Jo, Donna Bowers, Clarissa James married to Michael, Stacey Ferguson married to Dorothy, Terry Elliott married to Larry, and Mike Jones married to Devon. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Opal Jones, two brothers, Max Jones and Jerry Jones and two sisters, Sharon Burchfield and Donald Dean Jones. He enjoyed traveling and his lake house, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He had 10 grandchildren, Clayton Nichols, Blake Elliott, Nathaniel Jones, Celestina Hillock, Erica Spurgeon, Rachel Bruce, Brian Elliott, Anthony Jones, Carli Bowers, and Josh Bowers and 14 great grandchildren. Together with Georgia, Carl was the anchor of our family, and he will be forever in our hearts. We will miss him dearly.
