Carl Adron Bauer

July 31, 1923 — April 30, 2012

Carl Adron Bauer, 88, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on April 30, 2012, in Mesquite. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Gertie Bauer; sisters, Myrtle Strom and Marjorie Johnson; and nephew, Bert Schuneman. Carl is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ova Bauer; daughter, Carla Villa and husband, David; granddaughter, Laura Hanlon and husband, Billy; great grandson, Shawn Hanlon; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog that adored him, Choux Choux. Carl Bauer was born July 31, 1923 in Hoquiam, Washington, and had a 6 year military career in the United States Navy and then went on to be Executive Vice President of Lomas & Nettleton Financial Corporation. He was a 33rd degree Mason and a member of Pleasant Terrace Baptist Church for 63 years.Carl enjoyed spending his time "tinkering" and getting into trouble in his garage, hunting, fishing, and always making something special for anyone who made a difference in his life. He also loved spending his days with his family at Hungry Heights, a place that he built and designed that became his heaven on earth. Service will be 10:00AM Saturday May 5, 2012 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Blue Ridge, Texas
