Byron Edmund Brier

January 25, 1924 — March 10, 2016

Byron Edmund Brier age 92, long time resident of Dallas, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday March 10, 2016. He was born January 25, 1924 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Peter M. Brier, SR and Anita Wahlig Brier. He served in World World II in the Army Paratroopers and achieved the rank of Corporal. He worked for the city of Dallas for a total of 49 years, many of those as a part-timerin street planning. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Peter M. Brier, Jr. He is survived by two nieces Deborah (Wayne) Wallace of Alabama, Laurie (Danny) Kozuba of Mesquite, nephew P. Mark Brier of Dallas, two great nephews, one great niece,three great great nephews, and three great great nieces. There will be a grave side service at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on Friday, March 18that 10:15am. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his honor a Veterans Association. He was devoted to his family and his church. He enjoyed international travel and supported the World War IIMuseum in New Orleans and many veteran associations. We will miss your gruff voice and your sense of humor Unc.
