Cecille Brooksie Beasley born in Cleburne,Texas on October 11, 1938 to Cecil. W. Beasley and Wanda B. Brooks. She was preceded in death by bothparents, husband, Johnie Michael Rorie, and nephew, Anthony Ray Martin.She is survived by her son, Jason KyleRorie of Eagle Lake, Florida, sister, Alecia Rae Martin of Edmond, Oklahoma, two nephews, Robert Edward Martin of Edmond, OK and John R. Martin, III of Irving, Texas and several cousins.Brooksie lived in small towns around Dallas until moving to Mesquite, Texas in 1948.She graduated from Mesquite High School in 1957 and then attended SMU until she had an opportunity to go to work for Republic National Bank of Dallas in several departmental supervisory positions.Upon Marrying she and Mike moved to Louisiana where he served in the military at Ft. Polk, LA for two years.Upon Mike’s discharge from the army, they returned to Mesquite, where Brooksie resumed her positon at RNB for 13 years.They moved to Heath, TX in 1971 living there for 35 years and then to Talty, Texas in 2006.Upon leaving her position at the bank, Brooksie spent her time working for her husband in the real estate title business, raising their adopted son, Jason and volunteering in the Nursing Home Ministry which originated with her church, FUMC, Heath.Soon two other churches joined the group.The ministry offered devotionals, sing-a-longs, and fellowship at two nursing homes.Brooksie participated in this ministry and volunteered in the other activities of the nursing home for 20 years until her health no longer permitted it.Brooksie asked that dontations be made to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org.
