Brody was born May 26th, 2016, to Cade and Lindsey Ogletree of Seagoville, Texas. He is survived by one sibling, Adalie Ogletree. His paternal grandparents are Rusty and Kim Ogletree of Seagoville, Texas; and maternal grandparents Terry and Vicki Penn of Odessa, Texas. Brody has many Great Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins who will also miss him dearly. He is the answer to many of their prayers and they are so thankful to have been given 13 wonderful months with this amazing little boy. During his brief stay here on earth, he enjoyed playing with his caterpillar, holding hands, chewing on his fingers, listening to his big sister, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and snuggling every chance he got with his Daddy and Momma. He was loved by many, and will be greatly missed. Although Brody was never able to go home from the hospital to meet many of his family members and friends, he was never short on people who showed him love. The family would like to thank some of those people who not only kept Brody alive from the time he was born, but who also became Brody’s family throughout his journey here on earth. First, the staff at Medical City (Dallas, TX) NICU and CHSU. All of the nurses, respiratory therapists and doctors became a part of Brody’s family from the time he was born in May until January. Some of our best and fondest memories with Brody were shared with our “extended family” at Medical City. We are so thankful for all of their hard work and for fighting alongside Brody for almost 8 months. You all hold a special place in our heart! Secondly, the staff at Boston Children’s Hospital (Boston, MA) MSICU and CICU. This was Brody’s second home where he spent 100 days of his life. Brody did not make it easy on our friends at BCH, but they stepped up and took care of whatever he decided to throw their way during those 3 ½ months. Lastly, the staff at Children’s Medical Center (Dallas, TX) PICU. Although our time with them was the shortest, we are so thankful for the outstanding care that they showed to our baby boy! We will be eternally grateful for all these three hospitals did for us. They gave us 13 more months than we ever thought we would have with Brody. A Visitation will be held at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas, on Friday, June 30th, 2017, from 6-8 p.m.. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 1st, 2017, at Central Baptist Church in Crandall, Texas, at 11 a.m. https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1R51HE28F24PH 101 N Kaufman St PMB 175 Seagoville Tx 75159 "This is a link to a list on Amazon of items that people can buy instead of flowers.
