Ronnie Bret Davis was born July 13, 1960, in Gainesville, TX, to Bill and Opal (Williams) Davis. The youngest of three boys, Bret grew up as part of a fun-loving and happy household in Mesquite, TX. Bret attended Mesquite schools and played football for the Stallions until his graduation from North Mesquite High School in 1978. In September of 1981, Bret wed his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Lisa Judd. They spent the next 30 years building a lively and close-knit family who loved spending time together. Brets favorite times were when he was surrounded by his family at a concert or around the table at Desperados. He especially looked forward to their annual summer lake house vacations and the trips to Mexico with Lisa. Bret graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1988 with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and worked in public accounting for the next ten years. He then began a career in landscaping which better allowed him to pursue his passion for the outdoors. He was employed as Office Manager at Miller Grass for the last six years. A nature-lover, avid reader, and music buff, Bret was sure to pass on these interests to all of his children. He was a friend to every man and was always quick to smile. He was strong as an oak but couldnt have had a more gentle heart. His compassion for his fellow man knew no end. He never shied away from hard work and he taught his children the same principles. Bret was passionate about the things he cared about. His compassion and generosity were boundless. He was a devoted and kind-hearted father, husband, brother, son, and friend. Preceding him in death: his father, Bill Davis. Survived by his mother, Opal Davis, his brother Terry Davis, and his brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Adi Davis. Also survived by his wife Lisa Davis, and their four children, Jen Davis, Valerie Davis, Tyler Davis, and Carly Davis, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and many other beloved family and friends whose lives he touched.
