Brenda Osborn

Brenda Osborn of Amarillo, Texas passed from the scenes of this life into heaven's immortal glory on January 15, 2024. She was 80 years old at the time of her passing. Visitation with the family will be hosted at New Hope Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens at 500 US-80 Sunnyvale, Texas on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at First Primitive Baptist Church of Dallas located at 1920 Gross Rd. Dallas, Texas on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Mark Rowell officiating. A graveside service will be held at New Hope Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens immediately following the funeral service.

Brenda was born on November 29, 1943 in Paducah, Texas to Dewey and Lois Porter. During her life she lived in New Mexico, New Jersey, Germany and several towns in Texas.

Brenda graduated from Tom S. Lubbock High School in 1961. She attended college at Texas Tech University and Midwestern State University. During her life she worked as a bookkeeper and a florist; however, her greatest accomplishment was being a mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She loved her family dearly and poured her heart and soul into providing a safe and loving home.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Osborn; and her parents, Dewey Porter and Lois (Black) Porter. She is survived by her daughter, Lorie Cowser and husband Dean of Graham, Texas, and son, John Chase and wife Cari of Crandall, Texas; grandchildren, Chase Cowser, Cara Cowser, Cambrie Cowser, Kaitlin Chase, JT Chase, and Dottie Chase; a great granddaughter, Eleanor Cowser; a sister, Vanese Spier of Amarillo, Texas; a brother, Merle Porter and wife Beverly, of Amarillo, Texas; and a host of family and friends.
