Bradley Aaron Smith May 4, 1984 – February 24, 2017 Bradley Aaron Smith entered this world on May 4,1984 beautiful and perfect in every way. He left this world on the wings of an angel following a tragic accident on February 24, 2017. Bradley never met a stranger, he was a joy and a significant presence to everyone he met, from his closest friends, to the clerk behind the counter at the QT. He knew every neighbor in the neighborhood and always knew all the neighborhood gossip, although we never saw him talk to anyone. He grew up his entire life in Mesquite and attended MISD schools. He earned his GED in 2003. He found his first career “calling” at an early age and began driving tow trucks at 19. He loved being a first responder and helping others, however, after 12 years of service, he began to tire of the hard schedule of 24 hour calls, weekends and the rough life tow truck drivers endure. When tow truck drivers are called, others who need them at difficult times have no comprehension of the level of commitment required in being available 24/7. Brad recently found a new contentment in his life working for a private nursery in Seagoville, Texas, Green Lake Nursery. It was a significant adjustment for Brad in the change of schedule and responsibilities, but as the months drew on, we could all see the happiness, serenity, contentment, and joy in his eyes because of his “new found” direction in life. He loved being outside and never wanted the restriction of walls (real or perceived). He was a free spirit with a tender heart who loved life, loved people, loved photography, especially loved his dog, Sadie, his nieces, and “his people”. It was doing what he loved best, driving a truck, when tragedy struck in a horrific accident in Weatherford, Texas while delivering a fully loaded truck of nursery plants. Bradley will be remembered as a soft hearted, loving, forgiving, optimistic, care free, giving spirit with a wonderful sense of humor. Brad is survived by his parents, Lee and Rochelle Smith, a brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Jennifer Smith, nieces, Mackenzie, Kate, and Lillian, grandparents, Charles Fisher and Jim and Barbara Smith; his very special and significant partner in life, Heather Roberts, her children, Austin, Raven, and Aliah. He had many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends he considered family, but are too many to list. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jerry Fisher. Fly high precious, we love you and will miss you beyond words. Memorials can be made: Eastridge Park Christian Church, 2701 N.
