Bonnie Sue Peterson

Bonnie Sue (Templeton) Peterson, age 80, of Mesquite, TX, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020. She was born August 28, 1940 in El Dorado, TX to Harry James Templeton and Frances Ballew Templeton.

Bonnie had many loves, such as working in the yard, taking walks, watching game shows and old movies. She was talented artistically, she especially enjoyed painting ceramics and flowers, and received many compliments from friends and family. She adored her animals – her cat Smokey and her dog Pepper.

Bonnie worked for the city of Mesquite and the Mesquite ISD. She took pride in ensuring the children crossed the street safely.  She was a proud and independent woman who cherished her family. Following the loss of her grandson Jake, she faithfully visited his grave and always left flowers.

She is preceded in death by her grandson, James Earl (Jake) Clark Jr., husband, Bob Clark and second husband, Jimmy Peterson.

Surviving are her two sons, James Clark and wife Anne and Bobby Clark and fiancée Sheila Milliron; grandchildren, Connor Clark, Zachary Clark, Holly Elizabeth Clark, Renee Andrews and husband Chad and Brooke Clark and companion Stephen Ball; great-grandchildren, Everett and Emersyn Andrews; sisters Mary (Polly) Vankirk, Billie Moore and Ann Walker.
