Bobby Ralph Waites

Bobby Ralph Waites passed away Oct. 19, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ragsdale Waites; daughters: Deborah Walters (Chuck), Rhonda Welborn (Regan), Lori Manshack (Billy); 7 grandchildren: Kristin, Nico and Taylor Manshack, Jessica and Joshua Edwards, Benjamin and Jordan Berroteran; 5 great grandchildren: Kaylee, Aiden, Kennedy, Chloe and Kaydence; his niece Celia Temple and numerous other family and friends, and his beloved dog Baby. He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Marie Waites and his sister Barbara Langley. Bobby retired from NCR corporation after 34 years of service in Dallas, Dayton OH, New Orleans, Shreveport and San Francisco and went on to work as a certified appraiser in Shreveport LA. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking and watching his favorite teams play- The Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys and LSU Tigers. Honoring Bobby as pallbearers are Billy Manshack, Chuck Walters, Regan Welborn, Nico Manshack, Benjamin and Jordan Berroteran, C.A Ragsdale Jr. and Chip Ragsdale. Funeral services celebrating his rich and wonderful life will be held at New Hope Funeral Home with visitation Wednesday October 21st 2015 from 5-7pm and service on Thursday October 22, 2015 at 12pm. Burial will follow at Long Creek Cemetary in Sunnyvale Texas. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to further cancer research.
