Billy Thomas Sadler, Jr., Dallas, TX Bill was born in Dallas, TX on January 21, 1952 to Bill and Lou Sadler. Bill had two younger siblings, Randal and Pamela. Some of Randy's and Pam's most vivid memories of their brother Bill included him playing practical jokes on them. Bill loved to hide under beds, in closets or around corners and scare the wits out of his brother and sister. Actually, you could say Bill never lost his joy in scaring others. There are countless stories from his siblings, friends and children of him scaring them. Some of us may still be scarred from those moments; like his brother Randy who still reaches for a flashlight before getting out of bed at night, or his daughter Kristy who won't open a closet door without ensuring the light is on. Bill attended and graduated from Samuel High School in Dallas, TX in 1970. One of his favorite activities while in high school was eating contests with best friends Brian and Frenchy. They would start at one end of Buckner Blvd and go to the other stopping at every eating establishment on the way. The goal: to see who could outlast the others and eat the most. Bill often told stories about going to Poncho's for the "All You Can Eat" and being asked to leave. We are sure Poncho's celebrated the end of his teen years. Bill's pride and joy during his early adult years was his electric blue Ford Mustang Mach I with black leather interior. Stories have it that the backend was raised so high with racing tires you could barely see out the back windows. Then Joanna Jacobs entered Bill's life. They were introduced at church by a mutual friend. Bill and Joanna had their first date at Dairy Queen over lunch. They were accompanied by Joanna's mother and five younger siblings. That made for great first date memories! It must have been better than it sounds because it led to their union on August 19, 1972. To that union were born Kristy Michelle and Jeremy Scott. Bill also has two grandsons, Carter Stanton and Coleman Patrick born to Jeremy and his wife Amanda. Bill was able to spend his last Christmas with his grandsons and spent part of his last few hours talking about Carter and Coleman and the wonderful time he had playing with them at Christmas. Bill was also looking forward to Kristy's upcoming union with Robert Zeller. He also enjoyed spending time with Robby's brother Andy who thought Bill was Santa Claus. Bill spent the majority of his career in sales. He sold everything from home improvement and furniture to most recently oil and gas. Bill once said he entered sales to make money; however after he developed a close relationship with God, he looked at his sales career as his ministry. Bill's objective was to help others get what they needed for a fair price. He was always helping someone negotiate a great deal. Bill was a member of Casa View Assembly of God for over 25 years. During that time he was involved in many activities and ministries, such as Men's Ministry, Royal Rangers, Christmas Tree Sales and softball teams. Bill also served as a member of the Board of Directors at Casa View Assembly for many years. He left a positive imprint on many lives throughout the years. Many of Kristy's and Jeremy's friends remember looking forward to seeing bill at church and getting one of his big bear hugs. Bill touched many lives and was dearly loved by all. We will miss him more than words could ever express, but rejoice in knowing he has been fully restored and is dancing on streets of gold.
