Billy (Bill) Wayne Dorries went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 29, 2011.Bill was born on July 29, 1939 in Denison Texas. Growing up in Denison Bill graduated from Denison High School in 1957.Bill moved to Dallas and started his career in electrical contracting after graduation.He met Charlotte Mozingo, his sweetheart and they married July 19, 1958. Bill became an Electrical Contractor and started his own business in 1964 and was the youngest Master Electrician at that time in Dallas.He continued running the business until his death.Bill and Charlotte move to Sunnyvale in 1974 where Bill served on the Sunnyvale Independent School Board for 9 years.He was a member of Mimosa Lane Baptist Church for over 30 years. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of over 52 years, Charlotte Dorries, daughter Dianne Ellis and husband Kenneth, grandsons Devin and Phoenix Dorries all of Mesquite.Very Special Niece Stacey Carter and husband Eric, nephews Austin Carter and Kyle Carter of Forney and Kyle’s fiance Victoria (Mari) Rodriguez of Mesquite. One brother Charles Dorris and wife Jimmie of Rockwall, a sister Jean Earnhart and brother-in-law Harold Earnhart both ofSunnyvale and sister Ann Heineman and husband Van of Denison,along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation for all friends and family will be at New Hope Funeral Home 500 E. Hwy. 80 Sunnyvale, Texas 75182 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Services will be at New Hope Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Interment to follow at New Hope.
