Betty Marlowe was born in Monteagle, Tennessee on August3, 1930. Bettywas preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Marlowe; one brother and two sisters. She is survived by her son William Marlowe and his wife Shirley; grandson, Brannon Marlow and his wife Christy and their daughter Madeleine; granddaughter, Lauren Marlowe and her fiance, Daniel Arvo. Also survived by one brother and four sisters. She was raised during the Great Depression and World War II. Betty had a large family of two brothers and six sisters. She was married to James Earl Marlowe on October 4, 1947 in Rossville, Georgia.On December 13, 1948, they became the proud parents of William Earl Marlowe who was named after Betty's father, William Hayes Patterson.The family moved to Dallas, Texas from Tennessee in 1950.They regularly attended East Dallas Baptist Church for thirty years.She was a Sunday school teacher fora good part of her thirty years at East Dallas Baptist Church.Betty was a great cook and famous for her delicious meatloaf, green beans, cornbread, pineapple pudding and sweet tea.She enjoyed embroidery and studying the bible.Favorite T.V. shows were Hawaii-Five-O, Andy Griffith, Matlock, Gomer Pyle, and Walker Texas Ranger.She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and playing checkers and dominoes with them.She got to attend college graduations of both of her grandchildren, Brannon and Lauren. She also enjoyed visits with her great-grandchild, Madeleine. Service will be on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E.Hwy 80, Sunnyvale, TX, 75182 with Bro. Dan Carroll of Eastridge Park Christian Church officiating.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, February 5, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
