Betty Bailey

Betty Frances (Fivecoat) Bailey was born December 31, 1933 and passed away in Boise, Idaho on June 5, 2017. Betty was proceeded in death by her husband of 55 years, Howell Bailey.She is survived by her two children and their families:Her son and favorite child, Allan Bailey and his children Kyle Poet and Leah also by her daughter Lynn (Bailey) Trosper, son-in-law Scott and their children Kyle Thomas and Nicole.She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Royce &Susie and her nephews Mike and Trent. Betty was born in south Dallas, the daughter of Ross and Elizabeth Fivecoat.She attended Forrest Avenue High School (class of ’52) and went on to work for Dallas Teachers Credit Union for 35 years.She considered her co-workers to be cherished friends.During this time, she was blessed to have Cleta Stevenson as best friend.They had an unbreakable bond and truly loved each other. She was an active member of the Assembly of God church where, as a young adult, she was a leader in the youth program and went on to teach children’s programs.She was blessed to have several church homes over the years, but she considered them all ‘one church family’. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 12, 2017 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Highway 80, Sunnyvale, TX.Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.Interment will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas, TX, following the service.
