Becky Melin

Rebecca “Becky” Melin was born on March 25, 1952 and passed away on January 10, 2018. Becky is survived by her husband of 47 years and 10 months, C.J. Melin; children: Dawn Wilha and husband Billy, Melissa Melin, Nikki Basham and husband Chris; grandchildren: Cheree Smith, Kristin Gunnels, Richard Baker, Carly Wilha, Jaden Basham, Jayce Basham; great grandchildren: Gavin Yocham, Macy Smith, Lily Gunnels, Makenna Gunnels, Kamryn Gunnels, Troy Smith; brother, Weldon Brown, sisters: Rita Brown, Darlene Henson, Pam Roberts and numerous nieces and nephews. Becky devoted 28 years of service to UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas before retiring in January of 2012. Becky was Carls love of his life, best friend, rock and a loving mother and wonderful support to 3 beautiful daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.She was a kind, generous person who loved and was loved by everyone she met.Becky never met a stranger and was known to make friends in line at the grocery store, Wal-Mart and everywhere she went. Becky was known for her hospitality, outgoing personality and wonderful sense of humor. She was an unselfish and giving person who put others before herself. She will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privledge of getting to know her.
