Family will recieve friends at the Funeral Home Sunday May 20 from 3PM - 5PM. Our sweet Barbara, wife, Momma, Grandmomma, and friend was born September 30, 1927 in Durant, Oklahoma to William and Nettie Fry. Shortly thereafter, her mother passed away. She was the "baby" of the "entire" family of 15.The original "Yours, Mine and Ours"! Momma and Daddy would have been married 60 years on May 31st. Momma has been the most wonderful Mother for which anyone could ever ask. She was a homemaker most of her life. She cared for her children and her husband, Bro. M.V.She went back to work first for the Baptist General Convention of Texas then went to work for The Buckner Children's Home for about 15 years before retiring . She brought to our home so much love, laughter, and acceptance of others. She not only taught us to love the Lord and everyone else, but she taught by living a life of example. She was Proverbs 31 to its fullest. She loved our Daddy and supported him completely. She loved her girls and allowed them to be all God made them to be and always supported them with her unconditional love. She taught that your heart could hold a whole lot of love and it would grow with each new relationship. Her Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren were the "icing on her cake"!She was not the average Grandmomma - she was involved in every aspect of her grandchildren's lives. She loved her grandbabies and delighted in the joy of being their Grandmomma. We already miss our Momma, but the peace in truly knowing that she is with Jesus and all those she loved who have gone before her, brings each of us tremendous comfort and a feeling of love.
