FIRNENO, Vincenza Barbara of Mesquite, born August 30, 1955 passed away April 15, 2014. Loving sister, strong and joyful mentor to her loving extended family members and close friends.Survived by brother, Frank Firneno of Mesquite; niece, Mic Green & family of Purcellville, VA. and nephew, John Firneno of Oakland, CA; aunts, Joyce Gross of Royse City, TX. and Sharon Geis of Tulsa, OK; many cousins, along with many close relatives and a host of good friends. She was preceded in death by parents, John & Wilma Firneno; brothers, Bob & Bill Firneno.Barbara was an HR Global Ops Analyst for Pepsico in Plano, TX. She has spent the last 38 years working under Pepsico/Frito Lay Umbrella.She was a member of Divine Mercy in Mesquite, TX.She lived life to the fullest, always with joy and generosity.She was a "second" mom, a "second" grandmother and anything she needed to be to many.Barbara had a fun loving spirit and was loved by everyone that knew her. She was blessed with a good and healthy life with family and friends that loved her.Barb loved her home town of Mesquite and if she were here now she would be known to say "Go Skeeters, Glory to the Maroon and White!"She was a big sports fan and didn't miss many games.Barbara touched many lives and there will be a hole in many of our hearts without her. Service will be 10:00AM Friday April 18, 2014 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Interment will be in Laurel Oaks Memorial Park, Mesquite, TX.
