Audy Richard Work was born March 18, 1939 to Walter and Marie Work in Dallas, Texas.He passed away on December 29, 2007. He is survived by his son Douglas Work and wife Tracy, Grandchildren, Caley, Chanie and Chance Work.Also survived by stepbrother, Johnny Work and half-brother Daryl Work and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard joined the Army at age 16.He was an electrician in the Army. He truly had a strong work ethic.He was a brick mason for 35 years and loved what he did.He bricked Doug and Tracy's first home.For many years he would work 7 days a week so Dougs mother could stay home while Doug was young.He believed that whatever job you do you do it 100%. When he and his second wife Linda were married, they both worked together for the school district. The principals that they worked for thought very highly of them.During this time he still worked his lawn mowing business on week-ends. Richard loved helping others. Gave money to family and friends and never asked for anything in return.He would help his neighbors at Cedar Creek if he knew of a need. He took pride in his home and was always working on something to make it better. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed going to their basketball and baseball games. He also enjoyed watching the girls cheer at some of their football games. He was loved and will be missed.
