Ashley Lynn Thompson

THOMPSON,Ashley Lynn, age 29 of Mesquite went to heaven to be with Jesus, her personal Lord and Savior after a short illness on Wednesay, April 16, 2014. Ashley can now walk, run, see and talk for the first time ever and all her firsts with Jesus. Ashley was in Dallas October 18, 1984 andadopted at age 3 by her parents, the late Jeffrey Scott Thompson and DeeAn Davis Thompson. She is the oldest of 8 children and survived by seven siblings, Jenny Thompson of San Francisco, CA; Jeffrey Thompson, II of Jackson, TN, Kathy Thompson of Mesquite, Christy Thompson of College Station, TX, Amy Thompson, Isabella and Chloe Thompson all of Mesquite.Grandparents include Ray and Marilyn Davis of Athens, TX. and the late Vince and Joan Adamski. Ashley is survived by four sets of aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.Alan and Joyce Bruns of Colorado Springs, Co. and cousins, Joshua and Anneliesse Bruns of Fargo, ND. and Nathan and Ashley Sammie of Brooklyn, NY, Neil and Janice McDonald of Wharton, TX. and cousins, Cassidy and Keaton, Bart and Shelli Girdler of Rockwall, TX. and cousin, Landon, Mark and Louise Davis of Forney, TX. and cousins, Madilyn and Hannah. Ashley graduated from John Horn High School of Mesquite in 2007 and attended The Achievement Center of Texas at the time of her death.She was a member of The Crossing Baptist Church, where she was beloved by members of the congregation who did not think she was unimportant because of her special needs.The church is located at 1060 Clay Mathis Rd., Mesquite, TX. where funeral services will be held Monday April 21, 2014 at 11:00AM. Funeral arrangements are being handled by New Hope Funeral Home of Sunnyvale, TX.
