Services for Molly Croom of Dallas are scheduled for Wednesday, May 7 at 10 a.m., at the New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas.Burial will follow the service at the New Hope Memorial Gardens located next to the funeral home. The Rev. Leroy Butts will be officiating. The family will receive friends and loved ones Tuesday, May 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Croom died Saturday, May 3, 2014. She was born in 1923 to Barry A. and Willie Carter Willis of Flint, Texas.She graduated from Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas.Mrs. Croom retired as a bank teller at Commercial National Bank in Dallas. She was a member of Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church in Dallas for more than 60 years. Mrs. Croom was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel O. Croom; one brother and five sisters. Survivors include two sons, Scott C. Croom of Gilmer, Texas and William H. (Bill) Croom II of Richardson; one daughter, Kay Pinkerton of Mesquite; four grandchildren:Kelley Johnson of Austin; Matt Croom of Longview, Texas; Jason Croom of Alvord, Texas; and Candice Jarrett of Cartersville, Georgia; nine great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Croom was a loyal and loving wife, mother and grandmother.Wearing an ever-present smile, “Molly” often said she had lived a happy life.She was a delightful lady who was loved by everyone who knew her.She will be missed by her many family and friends. www.youtube.com/v/SpXHNRT_T5c
