Anna Margaret Darovich

March 14, 1924 — August 18, 2014

For nearly 70 years, Anna Margaret Darovich, was the wellspring of unconditional love and support for her family. For her husband of 63 years, Don Darovich, who preceded her in death in 2008 but never left her daily thoughts and prayers, their three daughters, Donna Ann, Patricia Wray and Susan Marie and grandchild Alicia Ann Penning Coyle, she was a source of great strength, incomparable compassion and an example of what a devoted wife, mother and grandmother should be. She also delighted in her son-in-law of two years, Michael Coyle, who recently returned from serving in Afghanistan. She would love to have helped the family welcome him home and was so happy to hear of his safe return last week. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Bragg, andtwo brothers, George ("G.W.") Bragg and Ed Bragg. A sister she never knew, Laura May, died at the age of three, and when Anna Margaret was born soon after, her mother considered her birth an answer to a prayer for another daughter. She was extremely devoted to her mother and they were always great friends. Anna Margaret graduated from Crozier Tech in Dallas, and for many years was employed by Sterling Bolt & NutCo. as office manager. Her strong work ethic made her an example to her children of the importance of being a loyal employee who worked hard. She was a Christian and faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church in Dallas where she taught Sunday School and was a member of its Ruth Class and Naomi Class for many years until she became housebound. But each week, her friend Beth visited her to pray for those who were sick or just needed uplifting, and she spent many hours at her kitchen table writing notes of cheer and prayer even when her frail fingers made doing so painful. She was a member of Friendship Baptist in Mesquite prior to her passing. She often said she wanted to be remembered as a good Christian woman who loved the Lord. Mission accomplished, say all who knew her. Thelittle dog that last year daughter Donna named "Annie" in her honor her was her "granddog" and will miss the toys and treats she always had on hand. Her children will miss her sympathetic and compassionate counsel, her cheerful good nature and her unabashed love. Her friends, nieces and nephews, will remember her for the love she showed them. Those wishing to honor her life and memory are requested to simply show kindness to those you meet and treat those less fortunate with compassion and love.
