Ann Lenore Chelf Gonzales was born June 4, 1940 in Devils Lake, North Dakota to William “Bill” Chelf & Delores Kennedy Chelf and passed away April 22, 2021. Ann retired from “D.P.& L.” Dallas Power & light. She then went on to work at Mesquite Community Hospital as a secretary in the Day Surgery Unit where she made many wonderful friends. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ernest “Ernie” Gonzales, where they lived in Mesquite for more than 40 years; children: Glenn Armey and wife Annette (Midlothian), Vickie Boyd (Forney), Barbara West & husband Scott (Forney), Kevin Danielson & wife DeAnn (Kaufman), Kenneth Danielson (Forney) and Shelly Gonzales Maldonado & husband Gaspar (San Antonio); 12 grandkids; 27 great-grandkids; 2 great, great-grandkids; siblings: Marion Clowers, Helen Mateki, Billy, Patric, Alfred, Richard & Lester Chelf, and numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Chelf & Dolores Davis; sisters, Patricia Kennedy & Bonnie Rysavy (Rye-savey); son-in-law, Ronald Dean Boyd; grandchildren, Kandice Boyd & Randy Boyd and great-grandson, Chance Trebling. Funeral service for Ann will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at New Hope Funeral Home followed by burial at New Hope Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 1-service time.
