Alice Marie Tolbert

TOLBERT, Alice Marie, the daughter of William & Forestine Tucker was born December 26, 1939 in Kansas City, Kansas. Alice was the eldest of four sisters and one brother, Evelyn Tucker, Sylvia McMorris, Janice Tucker Hunter, Andrea Tucker and William S. Tucker III. Alice attended Douglas Elementary, Northeast Junior High and Sumner High School in Kansas City, Kansas. Alice was a member of the Sumner High School Class of 1957. Alice was an excellent seamstress, cook, interior/exterior decorator and overall planner. Alice was a faithful member of the Church of Christ for almost sixty years Alice married Virgil on July 11 1965. They were happily married for fifty-six years and had two children, son, Jarrett Tolbert and daughter, Cherlyn Tolbert. Alice has four grandchildren, Jordon Price, Anjel Price, Mateo Price and Xavier Henry. Alice was a dedicated Christian, mother and wife. She had a very quiet, calm, soothing demeanor. Alice was hardworking and liked to relax by reading books and enjoying her home with her husband. Alice was Virgil's lifelong friend, partner and love. Alice will be truly missed by family and friends. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William S. Tucker, III. Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Virgil Tolbert; daughter, Cherlyn Tolbert; son, Jarrett Tolbert;grandchildren, Jordon Price, Anjel Price, Mateo Price, Xavier Henry; sisters, Sylvia McMorris, Evelyn and Andrea Tucker, Janice Tucker Hunter; sister-in-law, Eva Cage Tucker Nevels; aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
