Alfred Andrew Blaylock " Born October 10, 1943 in Crow, Texas (Wood County) and went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Artemos (A.A.) Blaylock and Bertha Lee Gilbreath.He was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jean Anders and brother Hilbert Ray Blaylock.He is survived by his wonderful wife of 47 years, Glenda and son Alfred Blaylock, Jr.; also a sister, Carolyn Lee Caton and brother Ray Alfred Blaylock.He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and innumerable friends that will forever miss him. Al worked for Aerospace Turbine and Rotables and loved the aviation industry.He was in the Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran.A lifetime member of the VFW, Al was an avid supporter and hands-on worker for local needy families during the holidays and throughout the year. To say that golf was a passion for Al would be an understatement.He loved the game and his scores indicated just how much he loved it.Al also played baseball, softball, bowled " he was simply a gifted, athletic person that could excel in anything he decided to take on. Al had the personality that did not meet a stranger and with his charming and caring personality he acquired the treasure of friendships with countless people that will love and miss this great man always.
