Albert Jack Humphrey

Albert Jack Humphrey, of Forney, stepped into the presence of Jesus on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at the age of 91.

Jack was born April 2, 1930, in Pickton, TX, to John and Clara Humphrey. On November, 6, 1948, he married the love of his life, Joyce Miller.  Together, in Mesquite, TX, they raised one son, Jackie Randal and two daughters, Regina & Rebecca.  In 1991, Jack and Joyce moved to Forney, TX.

Jack was passionate about life.  He was known and loved for his wit, gentleness, kindness and Christ-like love.  He enjoyed hunting with friends & family, estate sales and refinishing antiques.  He was a collector of clocks, coins, knives, guns, guitars.  While Jack enjoyed collecting he knew where his true treasure lie.  He loved the Lord God with all his heart, soul, mind and strength.  Jack loved attending his church for worship and Bible study at First Baptist Church of Forney where he was a deacon for many years.  He loved only God above his family.  He often said, “You know I have an awesome family.” He loved and honored his wife faithfully for 72 years.  Jack was an involved and beloved father and grandfather.  He lived a life that honored the Lord in word and in deed.  His family will be blessed for generations to come, according to scripture because of his faithful living.

Jack was proceeded in death by his father, John, his mother, Clara, brothers, Ferrish, Nello & Boyd, sister Virginia and son Randal.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, daughters Rebecca & Regina, daughter-in-law Kristine Humphrey, sons-in-law, John Thompson and Mark Werner, his eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

A visitation and funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Forney. Visitation will be held at 2:00 pm and funeral service at 3:00 pm.
